Beasts of Burden

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated with option of creating. Iíve always loved discovering new things - examining details in everything from notes played by an orchestra, drawing pieces and parts of found objects, and even studying the relationships between things.

Recently through working with animals and owners, I have seen the bizarre relationship between them. Sorting out who really needs whom has become the influence for my current works. Can animals and people form real friendships? Have we interfered with their natural and perfect instincts? My artwork is simply a result of many questions like these. Because of my interest in these strange relationships there is an anthropomorphic feel in the end, binding the two species together.

My hope is that others ask themselves these questions too, questions about their relationships with anything around them. Not only how they are affected by others (be it people or animals) but what affect they may have on others.
